As ministry gets going this year, I want to invite you to participate in something special. This Sunday (Sept 14th), we are launching The Community Practice. It’s a 4 week class that doesn’t just TALK about community, but gives skills to practice as you develop a healthy spiritual community with the people around you. This class will have something for the New-to-Faith and Veteran Christian alike!

This event is being advertised to our whole church. I want you to be there if you can be. But I want to make sure you know that I highly highly encourage your STUDENTS to attend too! After I went through the content last month, I got super excited because the topics in this series are so important for our faith and aren’t always talked about. I really think this series will be another opportunity for our students to grow in their faith together and with our church.

Everyone will be in the same room, watching the content together, but our students can take over a table or two for their own discussion.

Hope you can join us!

-Pastor Ryan

We will meet downstairs in the Community room. It begins this Sunday Morning at 8:30am and runs for 1 hour.

Oak Haven isn’t immune to the epidemic of loneliness. Without meaningful connection, many feel totally alone even when surrounded by all the great people at church. That’s why we are putting a special focus on this topic through our current sermon series, the “Food. Together.” opportunity, and this class.

In the class, we’ll cover these 4 topics:

  1. Be Family around a Table

  2. Share your Joys and Sorrows

  3. Confess your Sins

  4. Stay Together to Grow

Each week will include video teaching and homework to try out that coming week. If you'd like to go deeper, there will be a podcast and book recommendation to help you on the journey.

Find the teaching videos and FREE digital guidebook on the RightNow Media page here:

When registering, you'll have a chance to request a physical guide book and the optional "going deeper" book with the cost associated. You can also purchase them on your own here:

If you don’t know if you can make it, feel free to show up unannounced! Plenty of room for everyone. That being said, we have volunteers bringing some light breakfast items. We would like to know who to plan for as best we can!
