Hey there!

This week, we are looking at what it means to be humble before God. We can’t compare ourselves to other’s sin but to Christ himself. God meets us in this place

WHAT WE’RE LEARNING

Our Series

We are looking at some of the various ways we compare ourselves with others and learning how Jesus teaches us to be in the world.

This week we are studying Luke 18:9–14 and focusing on the truth that Jesus is the standard by which we are to measure ourselves, not other people.

Questions You Can Ask

If you’d like to start a conversation with your student about our lesson, consider these:

  • When do you elevate yourself over others, even if it’s just in your thoughts?

  • How can you grow in humility?

  • What can you do to remind yourself that you need God’s mercy just as much as the next person?
